Hello! I am excited about teaching 2nd grade at Midtown this year! Before beginning my teaching career, I attended Auburn University to earn my degree in Elementary Education. War Eagle! :) After graduation, I moved to Birmingham, Alabama, and taught 1st grade in Mountain Brook, Alabama for six years. My husband, Justin, and I decided to move to the Huntsville/Madison area in 2018 to be close to my family as we welcomed our first son. I was a little nervous about switching from 1st to 2nd grade because I loved 1st grade so much, but now I know that 2nd grade is the best. :)

Justin and I have two boys, Wells and Warner. We also have two dogs, Lola and Rosie. In our spare time, you will most likely find us at the neighborhood playground or in our backyard. In the summertime, you'll find us at the beach! My favorite season is fall, though. I love sitting on our back porch with coffee and my Kindle.

My favorite part about teaching is that I get to be part of building a foundation for each child's future. There is truly no greater work than that. I am humbled and honored to be part of your child's journey and look forward to seeing them blossom academically, socially, and behaviorally alongside you this year.
