Mrs. Loren Springer
My name is Loren Springer and I am from Florence, Alabama. I went to a small high school in Lauderdale County called Lexington School. Throughout high school I was involved in many activities from volleyball and basketball and clubs like Future Business Leaders of America.
After high school I attended Shorter University in Rome, Georgia where I earned a bachelor’s degree in history (summa cum laude) while playing volleyball.
I married Andrew Springer in 2013 and I moved to Tuscaloosa to study at the University of Alabama - Tuscaloosa for my master’s degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. I became part of the Bob Jones faculty in the spring of 2016 and could not be more proud to be a Patriot! This year I will teach economics, and AP Macroeconomics, and sociology. In previous years at The Bob I have taught Psychology and US Government in addition to the economics courses. Also, I have been the Scholars Bowl Sponsor at BJ since 2017. Additionally, I coached volleyball in the DMS/BJHS feeder pattern for 4 years, but am now focusing my attnetion on other endeavors.
Outside of school I enjoy sports, especially indoor or sand volleyball, and being at the river/lake/ocean/pool; all kinds of tv shows; and PC and Playstation games like Counterstrike, Rocket League, Star Wars Battlefront, NBA 2K series, and FIFA. I look forward to teaching and learning with you this year!
