Elizabeth Lack attended Athens State University in Athens, Alabama and earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature and History. Additionally, she earned her Masters degree in English Literature with a class A teaching certification from The University of Alabama, Huntsville in Huntsville, AL.
Mrs. Lack has ten years of experience as a classroom teacher. Mrs. Lack’s first year of teaching was at the Center for Alternatives to Expulsion in Decatur, Alabama. She has taught remedial English and English Composition on the collegiate level at Calhoun Community College. She also taught English for grades fifth through eighth at a private, parochial school in Decatur, Alabama. Mrs. Lack has been teaching both honors and on-level eighth grade English Language Arts at Discovery Middle School for the past three years.
Mrs. Lack currently lives in Decatur, Alabama. She is happily married to her husband, Jason, and together they have four children. She has three dogs that mean the world to her: Winnie, Finn, and Rocky. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Lack is also a local calligrapher. Some of her hobbies include calligraphy, painting, making glitter cups, spending time supporting her children, and spoiling her nieces and nephews. When she has the opportunity, you can find Mrs. Lack beside a pool or at the beach with her toes in the sand.
