2018-19 Secondary Summer Reading Assignments

The Secondary Instruction Team at Madison City Schools has created a Summer Reading Showcase website. The website has the reading lists and other assignments for classes students will be taking in 2018-19. This includes: * All English classes grades 6-12. * AP World History classes at Bob Jones and James Clemens. * AP U.S. History at Bob Jones and James Clemens * AP Art at James Clemens.

On the summer reading website, you will find a new addition: information on 6th grade summer reading.

On the link to the 6th grade English class assignments, parents and students will also find a code for Google Classroom. This Google Classroom will house resources, including audio recordings for the 6th grade summer reading.

Copies of the 6th grade English summer reading requirement can be ordered online, picked up at your local bookstore, or checked out at your local library. In addition, each middle school will have a limited number of copies available for checkout, beginning mid-May.
