Bob Jones Swim Coach Gunner Named National Coach of Year

Bob Jones High School swim coach Michael Gunner has been named national boys swim coach of the year by the National Federation of High Schools (NFHA) Coaches Association.
Mr. Gunner, an assistant principal at Rainbow Elementary, has coached the BJHS swim team since 2000, leading the Patriots to 9 state boys swim team championships. The Madison City Board of Education honored Mr. Gunner at the Jan. 26 Board meeting. Mr. Gunner is retiring from swim coaching but plans to continue as assistant principal at Rainbow.
