Bob Jones Greenpower Car Team Revving Up For Indy Appearance

Posted by John Peck in General

The Bob Jones Patriots Greenpower Team was recognized at the Jan. 12 Madison City Board of Education meeting for exceptional advances in greenpower competition.
In just a relatively short time, the team continues to win and place well in Greenpower Races both locally and regionally.
The Board viewed a brief video about the program  https://youtu.be/lL4YNGWSijk  and awarded certificates to the following:

Jessye Gaines, engineering teacher and coach; Kris Kasprzak, coach.
Students:
Jacob Hasenyager, Zach Johnson, David Barreto,
EmmaLeigh Wright, Elizabeth Kasprzak, Sam Andrzejewski, Rishish Narahari, John Chen, Brook Heater, Ethan Culver, William Caballero, Madison Gore, Adam Bastien,  Jared Harris, Blake Young, Ben Runyan.

The Team is raising money for the prestigious opportunity to compete in a Greenpower Race the weekend of the Indy 500 in Indianapolis. Craft Designs Inc., a Huntsville software engineering company, gave a generous donation of $4,000 toward the Indy event.
Craft Designs executives Linda Craft and Wayne Craft (shown in the center of the photo below) presented the check to Greenpower team leaders at the school on Friday. Principal Sylvia Lambert and head Greenpower coach Jessye Gaines are in the far right.
What a great opportunity for these students.
