Posted by John Peck in General

Raise a checkered flag to Greenpower Racing in Madison City Schools.
James Clemens and Bob Jones Greenpower Racing teams racked up an impressive performance at a national Greenpower Student Electric Car Challenge last week at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Dozens of teams from across the U.S. and U.K. competed.

The Jets Racing team placed 2nd in class and 3rd overall.
The Patriots placed 5th in class and 7th overall.
Congratulations to the students, teacher/coaches Greg Ennis at JCHS and Jessye Gaines at BJHS, and sponsors.
This was an especially impressive outcome given that the Greenpower program in Madison City is only a couple of years in the making.

Team members for the Jets were:
Nick Thompson, JD Strickland, Jake Strickland, Ryan Dunn, Matthew Jones, Drew Hicks, Abigail Celuch, Blake Tweedie.

Patriot Racing team  members were:
Emma Leigh Wright, Elizabeth Kasprzak, Sam Andrzejewski, Rishish Narahari, John Chen, Brook Heater, Ethan Culver, William Caballero, Madison Gore, Adam Bastien, Jacob Hasenyager, Jared Harris, Blake Young, Ben Runyan, Zach Johnson.
