Greenpower Racing/Car Show/ Kite Festival, Lead April 15 Activities

If you are looking for some family activities to do this weekend, here are several worth considering:
A Greenpower Car Race and Car Show at James Clemens High School; and a Kite Festival and egg hunt at Dublin Park.
James Clemens High School is hosting the second annual Mad City Classic Greenpower USA Electric Car race this Saturday, April 15. There will also be a Car Show.
Greenpower racing starts at 9 a.m. for elementary teams (Goblin Division), middle and high school qualifying heats start at 10:30; Intermediate level racing at 1 p.m.,  and Advanced level racing at 3:15. Schools from several area school districts will be competing in the greenpower racing.
In addition to the car events, there will be food trucks, flight simulators, STEM demonstrations, vendors/booths, entertainment and other activities.
There is no admission charge, and all events take place at James Clemens High School, 11306 County Line Road, in Madison. The Car Show runs from 10 am. To 3 p.m.
Across town at Dublin Park on Saturday, there will be a Kite Festival for kids.
Volunteers from the youth leadership mentor group RUFF (Ready yourself For the Future will assist with the kites and an Easter egg hunt put on by the Madison Parks and Recreation Department. The Kite Festival is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. More details on Saturday's Dublin Park activities can be found on the city's website:
